Game rental of the week: Zack and Wiki on the Wii
Fans of the Wii rightly point out that there are games on the wii that other systems just not would be able to handle and certainly Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbados Treasure is one of those games. Using the intricracies of the wiimote to great detail, this game immerses you in the world of Zack the pirate, who seeks to be the top pirate in the world. This is a classic arcade/adventure game with puzzles and bosses to overcome throughout. The game certainly makes full of the wii and it's peripherals.A wonderful example of the interactivity is where you have to shake a tree. Rather than button-bashing as you would on any other console, here you have grip the wiimote like it is a piece of wood and give it a good shake.
The game also lends itself to co-operation between players, with a player able to draw attention to something on screen by use of the wiimote, certainly a nice touch.
Zaack and Jack is not going to be everyone's cup of tea and we certainly recommend it as a game to rent initially rather than buy. GamezGecko have in stock, you can sign up with them here and give it a trial.
